The human civilization shockingly witnessed the worst form of genocide in the history of mankind in Myanmar in the recent years. Despite the Myanmar Government’s vehement denial of violation of human rights at Arakan, there is ‘mounting evidence’ to support the claim that the Burmese soldiers, police and civilians at Arakan, Myanmar are responsible for carrying out ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslims.

Legal Event in Bangladesh NILSThroughout the decades, the Rohingya people have also been neglected by the global political elites, who have turned a blind eye to their immeasurable sufferings. The crisis has reached such a tipping point that their entire existence in Myanmar is being threatened now. The Rohingya people have left their homes and traveled to Bangladesh and the other neighboring countries as refugees.

The barbaric and reprehensible treatment of the Rohingya people has sparked a great humanitarian crisis in recent times. This entire crisis presents a unique working opportunity for law students as they can address this situation from a legal point of view and aim to establish the rights of the persecuted Rohingya minority whilst advocating for exemplary punishment of the perpetrators.

As such, law students from all universities across Bangladesh are welcome to take part in this poster presentation competition to further the discourse on mitigating the Rohingya crisis. The event intends to raise awareness and issue a unified criticism against Rohingya genocide peacefully. Registration is underway, so sign up NOW if you are eager to take part in the competition:
