SDG Lab’s 2nd workshop on Sustainable Consumption and Production: Register Now
SDG Lab, an organized initiative to bring youths across the globe in a platform to gather and discuss the SDGs, is going to organize its second workshop on ‘Embracing SDGs: Sustainable Consumption and Production’ on November 25, 2017, Saturday, 9.00 – 5.00 at Eastern University, Dhaka.
The aim of the SDG Lab is to generate and disseminate knowledge on SDGs with a view to helping national and international communities to attain the goals. It encourages out-of-box thinking toward critical evaluation of local, national and global development policies. Through discussions, SDG Lab wants to ensure that these policies are coherent with the SDG and vice-versa.
All the seventeen (17) SDGs touch every parts of individual and community life. However, this particular workshop will focus on Goal No. 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production. There will be 3 lectures and two interactive sessions concentrating on the understanding of the indictors of the goal, the framework of corporate liability of production industry, challenging factors to achieve the goal, role of youth to implement the target of the goal particularly in the context of Bangladesh.
Debra Efroymson, Regional Director, Health Bridge (An International Organization working to improve health and health equity in Asia, Africa and the America.) and Md Obaidul Haque, Associate Professor Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka will deliver lectures, among others, in the program.
Through the daylong workshop, SDG Lab aims to inform youths on SDGs and therefore develop thoughtful idea and intrigue debate on Sustainable Consumption and Production (Goal No. 12.) Participants will be awarded with a certificate of Participation.
