Difference between Investigation, inquiry and trial

In our legal system, three terms are often used in the time when case runs in the court, often new law students get confused by this similar looking terms Investigation, inquiry and trial. the difference between them is given below.

Investigation: All the proceeding under the code for collection of evidence conducted by police officer or any other person (other then a magistrate) who is authorized by the magistrate. Section 4 (1) CrPC

Inquiry: Including every inquiry other then a trial, conducted under this code (CrPC) by a magistrate

Trial: Trial began with the framing of Charge and ends with the pronouncement of Judgment. (As described by Bangladesh Supreme Court)
