Raihan Rahman Rafid

Raihan Rahman Rafid is pursuing his law degree at the University of Dhaka. He is the Sub-Editor of Law & Justice, the Daily Observer, which is a dedicated law page of the newspaper. He is an Intern at Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) with the High Court Cell of the organization.

Raihan writes regularly for leading national English dailies namely, the Daily Star, the Independent, the Daily Sun, the New Age, Dhaka Tribune. He has also worked as a Student Writer with NILS International (the Network for International Law Students) for a brief period of time.

Involved in rights activism and development projects, he has a handful of experience in voluntary works with different INGOs, NGOs, and NPOs such as ActionAid Bangladesh, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Youth for Human Rights International Bangladesh, CriticaLink, House of Volunteers DU, CommunityAction.

He has been involved with debating throughout his academic life, from early school to college. Later on, he joined Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) and is currently serving as an Executive Member there.

He is a public speaker, and a professional rapporteur and his other skills include public relations, communications, and event management.
